Technology, an ally for humanizing health care

Frederic Llordachs, founding partner of Doctoralia, believes that technology can contribute to making the health care experience more human because it facilitates proximity between health care professionals and patients. This vision gave rise to the health care platform, which is currently the largest in the world and has given life to the Docplanner Group in a dozen countries, with more than 1500 users annually. Now, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, this potential for telemedicine makes more sense than ever.

Frederic explains that he bought the Doctoralia Internet domain in 2000 with the aim of setting up a platform to allow medical appointments to be made online. The project, which was the brainchild of his partners Albert Armengol and David Díaz, did not take off until 2007, coinciding with the launch of the iPhone.
